Sorry for the lack of photos in all my blogs recently ( and this is going to be another one of those blogs ). I haven't been feeling well enough ( kk, that's partly excuse plus I am suffering from a serious case of procastination ) and last night my left knee choose to relapse and hurting me and thus... I am like a living zombie now...
With that aside, I am going to talk more on what I did on last weekend~ =p
Saturday basically was another anime day, but around 3pm ( or was it 4pm? ), Ray dear and me headed down to Chomp Pang ( In Yishun area ) for our lunch at one of the popular stalls.
He asked if I want wanton noodles or fried noodles and I said anything. So we headed to this stall that sells delicious fried bee hoon ( he picked the thicker noodle, kinda forget the name, with veggies and a sort of fish cake and fried egg ) and I had bee hoon with luncheon meat and fish cake.
Initially I was a little skeptical with the taste but after the first mouthful with the chilli sauce, I practically finished the whole plate without any complains nor leftovers hahaha... I am a extremely picky eater and the rainy weather was affecting my mood. But this delicious meal more than pick my mood up.
Not to mention my favorite drink, Bandung ice-blended, yums!!! Always thought I won't be able to taste this after the uncle in the Library Cafe in Ngee Ann Poly told me he's gonna stop making it cos its too expensive *sobs*
After that we went shopping for dear at both Chomp Pang and North Point before heading down to my cousins' place. Dear was not too keen, but he's sweet enough to follow me there as well as to make some conversation. We left from there to my niece, Jamie's house/masionette ( forget how to spell it and lazy to check up on it ) to see her hamsters. She's been looking for me for the whole Chinese New Year and due to the death of my Lizzy, I haven't been easy to locate by my relatives after the 1st day of CNY. So last Sat was like my 2nd "Official" appearance.
The masionette was pretty huge, heard from my cousin's wife that it cost like $500k when they bought it and their neighbours sold theirs for like $600k ++... That's a lot of money... But after the visiting and so on, dear and me headed home to rest for the night ( cos I was feeling a little weary ). Jamie cried when she knew I was leaving but she's adorable to run back and waved and shouted "Bye!" to me. Cute little 6 years old~
Yesterday was a little uneventful in the morning/afternoon. Dear did dailies in WOW and I did like 3-4 hours of dailies in MFO. Seriously sick of dailies. But as time reached near 2-3pm ( dear cooked noodles for me in the afternoon~ Yummy~ ) we had phone calls ringing on both of our phones. Bernard's looking for Ray to watch "The Black Swan" and Ying wants to meet me to eat ice-cream at Swensen as well as to visit my place.
We met Ying at Causeway Point's Swensen and ordered mushroom baked rice, Ying and JW ordered some fried combo thingy ( with calamari, shrimps, fish and fries ) and the four of us shared Earthquake, a 8 scoops of ice-creams in a big bowl, with nuts, chocolate fudge and cherries as toppings ( we had like 2 scoops of Sticky Chewy Chocolate, 2 scoops of Thin Mint, 1 Durian thingy *forget the name~*, 1 scoop of Cookie and Cream, 1 Rocky Mountain *Chocolate with mashmellow* and 1 scoop of Peanut buttercup thingy *forget name again~* ) The total bill came up to $56 or $57 and then we headed downstairs to accompany Ying to buy her v-day's gift ( JW offered to buy her a jewelry and she has to choose it ) before heading to AMK hub to meet Ray's friends.
We bought tickets for The Black Swan and headed for dinner at Black Pepper Lunch. I shared a Mountain Dew, a Chicken & Salmon combo and a caramel ice cream with dear ( yea we ate alot ). Before I watched the movie, I thought its going to be another typical ballet type movie ( well, I just skimmed through the plot, never really reading it before ) but halfway through the movie, I am hiding my eyes behind my hands.
It's very unpredictable and a very gory movie. Time and again you might see a little bit of blood here and a bit of gory there. It just send shivers down my spine. I can't watch it without gripping my dear's hands. But I must say, it definately given me more idea of what swanlake is about. I always thought ( from the briefly, almost non existance explanation from novels I read ) that its a story only about a Swan princess and a Prince.
I did not know its another sad story of dying over wrong love. Basically from the slight explanation done in the movie, I gather that Swanlake is a story about a girl who was turned into a white swan by a witch or sorceror and in order to break this curse, she need true love and just when she found her prince, he went and fell in love with the black swan. Or something like that.
But the way they portray this movie is so scary and psychotic that I am linking more to horror flim...
And after watching the movie, I don't know why or how, my left knee starts to hurt and now I am limping around at work ( should have stayed home... )...
