Moi? Not asian??

=p A couple of days back, while I was playing in Perfect World using my Elf Archer, one of the party members suddenly said this to me "You are not Asian right?"

I was a little surprised, not offended nor flattered. Just surprised. Cos in all of my online gaming life ( which is like almost 8 years or so ), this is the first time someone said I am not Asian.

To that question, my reply was "Why you say so?" while continuing killing the mobs in the Holy Hall ( was doing HH3-2 ).

"Cos you don't speak/type like one"

Hmm... I don't? Well... I pondered on that abit while killing more mobs before I replied "I am definately Asian ^.^ "

"Then you MUST be a Singaporean."

Lol. I can't help smiling at that particular comment. Cos the way I linked this conversation is, Singaporean standard of English is on par with the Westerners. So I questioned "Where are you from?"

"Malaysia"

Neighbours ^.^ I added that the way I speak was affected as I was talking in an international guild earlier on. It's easier to use a more standard way of speaking than using Singlish ( most of my Western/Europe friends voiced their frustrations on understanding English with hints of slang from the locals etc Singlish ). Futhermore, I did not know where the members of the parties were from, so that could be partly the reason why I sticked to the so-called standard English.

After that, most of us just talked with the usual "ma", "lar" etc etc. Its no secret that I am proud of my country and any forms of compliments as such is enough to put me in a relatively good mood.

And of cos, its easier to handle me when I am in a good mood rather than a foul one, for I have known to be horrible to be with when angered ( thoughts of vengences and plotting ways to make the person's life, the one who angered me, miserable. )

Those who know me know this very well indeed. I am a devil and fully put the phrase "Hell holds no fury against a woman's wraith" in live action.

But there are a few who thinks I am an angel~ Hee... Fake angel or fallen angel is more suitable for me I think.

But since I was happy that day, I did not grumble or have the intention to wipe out the whole party despite dying a few times due to people who do not wait and listen to further instructions. Normally I would have blown up and leave them to fend for themselves. They were lucky I was in a good mood.

My mood's been going up and down like a rollar coaster these few days but usually by the time I am ready to sleep and till the moment I wake up and have breakfast, its usually pretty fantastic. Nothing raises my mood faster than my darling Ray hee... With his accompaning me for breakfast practically daily for this week, I have zilch to complain about! Ready to face work with a smile and even after an exhausting day, I have him to look forward to again.

On a hindsight... Today's been unlucky enough, pouring of rain is one thing but to keep on accidently kicking the power cable to the CPU and switched off the computer ( with unsaved data ) was annoying. Lucky for me, I didn't do much so it will not take long for me to recover whatever that's lost heh heh...

As promised

As promised, this is the picture of my lovely Klonk and my not so lovely character. She happens to be facing her pet when I took the screenshot... That's the NPC behind along with the portal to go to a swampy area ( c'mon, I just started the game, cut me some slack will ya? I am too lazy to memorise the names of the towns, in fact it took me almost two to three months to memorise most part of Perfect World aka PW and back then there's no such thing as auto flight nor click on NPC name in your quest and they will auto go to the NPC!!! I HAVE been in PW for THAT long!!! Ancient me =x )



Well, I am still a newbie so don't expect my little Klonk to evolve anytime soon... But I know my darling Ray's webbed fish might evolve within these few days hee...

I am a rather random gamer, been playing lots of games before, but it all started with Ragnarok online and that was the game that brought Ray into my life... After that I ventured into other MMORPG such as ROSE online, Luna online, Maplestory, Rappelz, Perfect World etc etc... There's so much I might even missed a few... Some I stayed in for years, others I couldn't even last through a week. Other games that I played are Gaia Online, Left 4 dead, a little on Star Craft 2 and so on.

Naturally, I love DS game as well ( for without my honey Ray, I wouldn't even be able to play as he was the one who bought the DS for me as a gift <3 ).

Most of the games above, I had been playing with Ray dear. He was even more pro than me ( for I am soooo lazy to read up on the forums and usually just learn from him heehee... ).

But other than the games, I love animes as well, like the couple that's introduced to me by him are "Fairy Tail" and "Hunter X Hunter". I know these two are pretty old animes but I didn't really get around watching them. Another two that I like are "Betrayal knows my name" and "Kaichou wa Maid-sama" aka "我的会长是女佣". Usually I love hilarious, comedy type of animes/movies/shows/drama/clips/manga ( you get the hint ) but mangas/animes such as "Betrayal knows my name" and "Vampire Knight" caught my interest as well, cos of their drawings and they appeals a little to the more... I prefer to call it the darker side of myself.

Might update more on such stuff... Heehee, abrupt end here, time for me to run~!

MFO

I have always been much of a gamer ( those who knows me knew that very well ) and recently I have been introduced to a new game call "Monster Forest Online" aka MFO.

Initially, I wasn't having much interest in it, shall elaborate on it now.

Back then on 5th June, I happened to be in Iluma with my dear Ray and we saw the launch of MFOI remember taking a liking to GM Kanny's pink paw gloves. But other than that, all I saw was a bunch of kids and lots of guys shouting in the audience how much they love the game and GM Kanny.

I even pronouced her name as "Kenny" and even asked my dear why would any girl call themselves that? He replied it must be "Kelly" or something similiar and said the game was too kiddish. I agreed and we went off looking at other asiasoft games before meeting his friends, Serene and Charles.

Back to the present, surprises of the surprises, my darling was the one who introduced this game to me. He said his sister ( Joey, not Mint ) introduced this game to him.

My verdict of the game so far ( since I started playing like last Saturday ), since my first impression was made at the launch, it wasn't very good. Plus the asiasoft passport kept on rejecting me EVERYTIME I tried to log in. ( Imagine always spending about 1 hour before you can log in ) After reading a little bit more on it, I had gotten increasingly frustrated with the lack of cute or pretty pets. And those slightly passable in looks, are costing a fortune.

I know, I know, I had spent more before on games but at least those are adorable to the max! I am willing to fork out a lot of money if that particular item/pet or whatsoever in question is absolutely cute that it drives me crazy NOT to have it.

But I do not feel such "click" with any of the pets in MFO and they are limited to a few monsters, even though the webbie claims there's like more than 500 types ( was googling MFO ). Been looking around for a good pet since I started ( using Klonk Seahorse, cos I love horses and its the closes thing that looks like it ).

Now, if the pet I am to use is not at all cute, then I would want it to be one of the strongest. Obviously right? If can't be shown off for its cuteness, the least it could do ( I got my priorities wrong, some might say, so sue me, that's my preferance ) is to be able to handle itself in the battles well. Spent 2 fruitless days ( Sunday and Monday ) finding it and geetting extremely frustrated when I kept on looking at one after another not so cute pets. My dear noticed my increasingly bad tempered and thought that I hated the game. It wasn't really the game I hate, just the lack of informations I can gather and I really hate making decisions ( Firstly, I do not want to spend alot of gold on this game. Secondly, no reliable source to tell me what's strong or not. Thirdly, WHY ARE MORE THAN 80% OF THE PETS SO UGLY??!!! )

Went online to check again on Tuesday and my dear said he was recommanded Aquatic or Beast pets for PVE type ( forgive me for using gaming slang. I am lazy to explain. ) as the rest such as Demon, Human, Plant, Insect, Dragon are better for something else. I went ballistic again as the webbie flashed loads of horrid looking creatures. Does not help when I saw someone with a name that I loathe using a relatively pretty human pet called Czech Girl and upon double checking the price market...450G??!! Like hell I would pay for it! ( Money rate inside is in terms of shells, like 1 Klonk seahorse is only 1 Gold 50 bronze Shell, so that Czech Girl is times 300 times of Klonk. )

I am just amazed how much tolerance my dear Ray has. Other people might already blacklisted me for blowing up in their faces for 3 nights in a row. Yet his patience with me is the main reason why last night ( Tueday ) after I logged out of game in anger for like 10-20 minutes (?) I logged back in again ( around 10pm ). I reasoned that since I hated most of the looks of the pets, do not want to spend a fortune and Klonk IS aquatic, therefore I take Klonk. But the Klonk I am using always dies...

After informing Ray dear of my decision, he went and bought me a new Klonk with 3 special talents ( the one I had only has 2 talents ). Unfortunately the first Klonk he gave me had one of the lousier talents. I voiced out that I would go and earn money to get a new one and use the one I had ( since its level 12 ) to earn ( I do not even have 1G yet! Only 50 silver or something like that ). That sweet darling went immediately and got me another one! This time round the Klonk he gave has 2 of the talents I wanted. I am contented with 2 out of 3. And its definately stronger than my last Klonk girl. Cos I remembered afk for like 5-10 minutes and didn't realise it was in battle, by the time I came back its hp is like 10% and still managed to trash its enermies. <3

Then I realised why I had been asking Ray dear to just get one for me and that's it, though he kept on refused to as he wants me to really love the pet so he wanted me to choose. Even if he gave me stone crab, I'd probably love it as well as it was a gift from him to me.

But that aside, I grown to love my Klonk girl more and more ( as I found out she's pretty strong muahahahaha ) and to my pleasant surprise, Ray darling gotten himself a Klonk boy! Heehee... Maybe they can breed and have many Klonk babies =p
